Chandelier of Gruene

Instead of offering tips and tricks of wedding planning, budgeting and vendor selection, I thought I would highlight one of the venues that I worked with recently.

On August 1, 2020, I had the pleasure of coordinating a wedding at the Chandelier of Gruene in New Braunfels, TX. This was my first time working a wedding at this venue. I couldn't have been more surprised as to how nice it was to work with the staff there. If you are not familiar with this venue, I highly recommend you plan a visit if you are planning a wedding in the next year or two.

The reception Hall is beautiful that can hold up to 500 people . The Hall has a magnificent chandelier (hence its name) hung in the center of the venue with dramatic draping that gives it that romantic feel with just a bit of Texas touch! The stage is large enough for a band or a DJ and it has a very nice bridal and groom suite. There are so many layout options with a venue this size and I had fun with my bride creating a unique layout for her. I think the best part of this hall was that they have Chiavari chairs! This is a dream for a wedding coordinator AND the bride!!! Most venues offer farm chairs, ceremony chairs (which are bulky and most of them are always knicked up) or folding chairs (yuck). This is a huge selling point.

In front of the reception hall there is a gorgeous white Chapel . It is an open-air Chapel set out in the front lawn that actually has a church bell! I had the privilege of ringing the bell when my couple kissed! I get goose bumps just thinking about it! Gotta love being a Wedding Coordinator! The Chapel has ceiling fans that create a great breeze, so in my opinion, the A/C wasn’t missed at all. This Chapel is the perfect solution for the bride that wants that church wedding without having to send their guests miles away for the reception. This is also great for brides that want a religious ceremony. AND for those that want the church bell! Helloo!

Next door to the reception hall there is the Escondida house with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. This house is modern and VERY comfortable. I highly recommend you rent the house for your family or bridal party so they can enjoy the wedding without driving home after too much of the bubbly! If you go to the their website, they have plenty of pictures of upgraded amenities that I think you’ll enjoy. If that doesn’t sell you then the pool will! Yep, has a private pool. Yes, please!!!

I plan to offer more updates on other venues in South Texas (and God knows as a Wedding Coordinator I have seen most of them), but this one inspired me. Enough to write about! So, I highly recommend that you check out this venue. And tell them I sent you!
